Data Deletion Instructions

Overview

We respect your right to control your data. This page explains how you can delete personal data and content associated with your Vantoj account.

Option 1: Delete Your Entire Account

The most complete way to remove your data is to delete your Vantoj account. This will permanently remove:

  • Your profile and account credentials
  • All businesses (Brand Brains) you created
  • All posts, drafts, and scheduled content
  • Connected social account tokens and settings
  • Uploaded documents (PDFs, DOCX, CSVs) in knowledge bases
  • Analytics data and activity logs

To request full account deletion, email support@vantoj.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request." We will confirm the deletion and complete it within 30 days.

Option 2: Disconnect Social Accounts

If you want to stop Vantoj from accessing your social profiles without deleting your entire account, you can disconnect individual platforms:

  1. Sign in to Vantoj and go to your workspace Settings.
  2. Navigate to Connected Accounts.
  3. Click Disconnect next to any platform you no longer wish to link.

Disconnecting removes the OAuth token from our systems. We will no longer be able to publish or read analytics on your behalf.

Option 3: Delete Specific Content

You can manually delete individual posts, drafts, and uploaded documents from within the Vantoj dashboard without affecting your account:

  • Posts / Drafts: Go to the Calendar or Queue, select the item, and choose Delete.
  • Knowledge base files: Go to Brand Brain → Knowledge Base, select the file, and choose Remove.
  • Business data: Go to Brand Brain → Edit, and clear or update fields as needed.

What Happens After Deletion

Once deletion is confirmed:

  • Your data is removed from active databases within 30 days.
  • Backups containing your data expire according to our standard retention schedule (up to 90 days).
  • We retain minimal records only where required by law (e.g., billing/tax records) for the legally mandated period.

Meta / Facebook-Specific Deletion

If you connected a Facebook or Instagram account, you can also revoke Vantoj's access directly from Meta:

  1. Go to Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites.
  2. Find Vantoj Social in the list.
  3. Click Remove to revoke all permissions and delete associated data.
